Useful addition

To save you having to run your PC connected to the internet 24/5 to keep Metatrader (and any associated EA’s) running and connected to the markets, using a Virtual Private Server (VPS) is the most logical solution.

A VPS is basically a computer you can log in to remotely that sits in a data center somewhere in the world (the closer to your brokers servers the better – this reduces network latency). You can transfer files from your own PC to your VPS and run applications as you would with your home PC.

The best Forex VPS I’ve found is Next Point VPS – it’s currently voted best VPS on MyFXBook (with 64 votes) as well.

Install instructions

For MT4 

1. Download the installer by clicking here (Note, this is for PC only)
2. Follow the on screen instructions and select the MT4 application you wish to use
3. Open the MT4 application you installed the EA on
4. On MT4 in the “Navigator” window, click on “Expert Advisors” and you will see the “MTM Trendline EA v1.0” listed like so:
5. Now drag the “MTM Trendline EA v1.0” from the Navigator window to the chart you would like to use it on
6. Click on the “Inputs” tab and then review the “How it works” section above before clicking OK

 For MT5

1. Download the .ex5 file buy clicking here (Note, this is for PC only)
2. Open your MT5 application, click File > Open Data Folder
3. When the folder opens, click “MQL5 > Experts > Advisors” and save the downloaded .ex5 file in this folder
4. MT5 in the “Navigator” window, click on “Expert Advisors > Advisors” right click on “Advisors” and click “Refresh”
5. You will see the “MTM Trendline EA v1.0” listed like so:
6. Now drag the “MTM Trendline EA v1.0” from the Navigator window to the chart you would like to use it on
7. Click on the “Inputs” tab and then review the “How it works” section above before clicking OK
